Dr. J. Earl Adkisson, Jr.
Born in Atlanta and reared in Cobb County, Dr. Earl Adkisson has practiced general dentistry in Marietta since graduating in 1974 from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. In 1980 he became a founding partner of Marietta Dental Associates, helping to build the practice into Cobb's largest family-oriented dental group.
Over his career Dr. Adkisson completed an extensive postdoctoral lecture series in esthetic and functional dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, occlusion, endodontics, implants and oral surgery. He is a graduate of the American Laser College, is Cerec certified, and has served on the faculty of the MCG School of Dentistry.
Dr. Adkisson is deeply involved in his church, schools and civic organizations, including Kiwanis, Cobb County Schools advisory committees and the Harrison High School booster clubs, and is a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church. He and his family include three children (John & Katie, Alyson & Nelson, and Greg), eight grandsons and one granddaughter. He enjoys golf, watching sports and time with family.
