Dental implants in Marietta, GA

The modern, longest-lasting solution for missing teeth, looking, feeling and functioning just like the real thing.

A foundation that lasts a lifetime

Dental implants offer a transformative solution for individuals missing one or more teeth. The implant post, usually titanium, is placed into the jaw and acts as the root of the new tooth, providing a strong, stable foundation.

Over several months, bone grows around the implant in a process called osseointegration, securing it firmly in place. Once integration is complete, a custom crown, bridge or denture is attached, restoring both the function and the appearance of natural teeth.

At Marietta Dental Associates, your implants are both placed and restored right here in our office. Dr. Orlando Lopez completed a General Practice Residency focused on placing and restoring implants, and Dr. Bryan Robinson has pursued continuing education in implant dentistry, so your care stays with the team you already trust.

Why implants

The advantages over dentures & bridges

Prevents Bone Loss

Implants transmit the natural stimulation that keeps your jawbone healthy, preserving your facial structure.

Protects Healthy Teeth

Unlike a bridge, implants don't require altering adjacent healthy teeth, preserving your natural structure.

Looks & Feels Natural

Custom crowns match the shape, size and color of your teeth, no slipping, no compromise.

The three parts

What a dental implant is made of

1. Implant Post

The titanium foundation, biocompatible and able to integrate with the jawbone, effectively becoming the new tooth root.

2. Abutment

A small connector that attaches to the post above the gum line, linking the implant to the final restoration.

3. Restoration

A custom crown, bridge or denture, typically zirconia or ceramic, matched to your natural teeth.

Common questions

Dental implant FAQs

How long do dental implants last?
With proper care, dental implants are highly durable and can typically last a lifetime. The titanium post fuses with your jawbone to create a permanent foundation for your restoration.
Am I a good candidate for implants?
Ideal candidates have good general health, sufficient jawbone density, healthy gums and a commitment to oral hygiene. Patients with significant bone loss may need a bone graft first. We'll provide a thorough evaluation to determine the right path for you.
Does the procedure hurt?
Implant placement is a precise surgical procedure performed with local anesthesia, and we offer sedation options for anxious patients. Most patients are surprised by how comfortable the process is.
How much do implants cost?
Every case is different, so we provide a detailed estimate at your consultation. Marietta Dental Associates is out of network with all plans but will file any insurance you have with out-of-network benefits, many plans help cover part of treatment. Call (770) 424-6569 to discuss your options.
